In exactly three weeks, Indian Jeweller will be awarding excellence in jewellery retail space as the Jury Meet for the 1^st edition of India’s Coolest Store Awards (ICSA) concluded yesterday in Mumbai.

The jurors included Nirupa Bhatt, MD – GIA India & Middle East, Richa Singh, MD-India, Diamond Producers Association, Aftab Bandukwala, MD, V-Design Architectural Solutions Private Limited, A Shivaram, Founder, Retail Gurukul and, Kumar Rajagopalan, CEO, Retailers Association of India (RAI).

After months of careful selection process, 30 select jewellery retail stores from across India were evaluated on five important factors like brand story, their individuality (cool factor), store interiors, store exteriors and media presence (print, digital and social media). Winners will be announced in a gala awards night to be conducted during the 3^rd edition of COUTURE INDIA show at TAJ Diplomatic Enclave in New Delhi on 29^th September 2018.

Talking about the first edition, Nirupa Bhatt said, “It’s good to see that the jewellery retail stores from the interior parts of India are taking efforts to bring in changes at the store level that would take them closer to the new-age consumers. Retail landscape in India is certainly evolving.”

Stressing on the importance of use of regional languages in the publicity material, A Shivaram said, “Jewellery retailers need to reach out to the end-consumers in regional languages especially, their social media pages, and their publicity material. The end-consumers are usually women who would connect more with simpler and regional language.”
