Wal-Mart Stores Inc reported net sales for the fiscal year ended January 31st, 2007 as $344.992 billion, an increase of 11.7 per cent over fiscal year 2006.

The company’s annualised net profits stayed largely flat, rising merely 0.47 per cent to $11.284 billion compared to $11.231 billion a year ago.

Net sales during the fourth quarter increased by 10.9 per cent to $98.09 billion compared to the previous year. Net profits for the three-month period rose by 9.8 per cent to $3.94 billion versus a year earlier.

Total US comparable store sales increased by 2.1 per cent during the full year, and grew by 1.6 per cent for the fourth quarter.
