After its announcement of the new list of Sightholders, the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) is in the process of obtaining industry feedback. In this it said that those displeased with the new Sight selection, can state their complaints to the Ombudsman until 6 pm London time on January 21, 2008.%%According to the Ombudsman’s Terms of Reference, an applicant must notify the DTC of a potential complaint within 14 days of being informed of the decision. DTC managing director Varda Shine said that DTC in consultation with the Ombudsman has extended the deadline, after clients requested additional time due to the busy holiday period in the US and Europe. All sightholders who made an application will be responded to on their contract proposals during the sight week which begins on January 14.
