Polished exports increased by 28.5% to value at $9.123 billion as compared to $7.098 billion earned during the same period last year. Rough exports scaled up by 3.41%, to value at $350 million.%%India’s imports were encouraging. Imports of roughs hiked by 13.5% increase to value at $6.278 billion for the said period, as compared to $5.530 billion last year. Imports of polished diamonds sky rocketed by 130% increase to $3.079 billion, as compared to $1.334 billion last year.
