Robert J. DiNicola who had resigned as Zale Corp.’s chairman and chief executive in 2004, has filed for claims against Zale, for $1.32 million as moving expenses. According to him, the moving expenses include real estate commissions and fees, which were stipulated to be paid by Zale as per the terms of a new agreement.%% DiNicola, presently the chairman and CEO of Linens 'n Things (LNT), is being funded by LNT until Zale reimburses him. According to LNT’s Securities and Exchange Commission filing dated September 28, it mentioned that “DiNicola is required to take all reasonable steps necessary to seek reimbursement from Zale Corporation… of any of the relocation expenses Zale is obligated to pay. Any such reimbursement by Zale would be an offset against LNT’s obligations and DiNicola would reimburse LNT accordingly with respect to amounts already paid.”
