Charles & Colvard Ltd., hascreated a new cut for its lab-created gemstone moissanite and has called it ‘Imperial Moissanite'. It has been crafted solely for retail jeweller Helzberg Diamonds. The cut is defined with 89 facets, which are 32 more than the standard round brilliant cut. These extra 32 facets are said to allow for more light reflection, creating a very high degree of shine. The company has crafted a jewellery line using this diamond cut, and it includes rings, necklaces and earrings which retail from approximately $449.99 to $4,599.00. The new cut awaits patent approvals.
