India's G&J exports in April rise by 95.41%

C&P diamond exports increased by 115.62%

Christie’s had offered an extremly rare 2.26 carat fancy purplish-red diamond ring for auction at its “Magnificent Jewels” auction held in Geneva on November 15. The diamond was bought by Laurence Graff jewellery house for a record price of 3 million Swiss francs ($2.67 million), which in per carat terms values at $1.18 million per carat.%%The entire lot at the aution generated a net earnings of 53.9 million Swiss francs ($48.6 million). Amongst the pirces sold was an emerald and diamond necklace belonging to Princess Katharina Henckel von Donnersmarck, which sold for 2.1 million Swiss francs ($1.9 million). Also diamond earrings and a brooch designed for for Princess Cecil Amelia von Fürstenberg by Van Cleef & Arpels sold for 1.2 million Swiss francs and 922,600 Swiss francs, respectively.
