Pakistan is witnessing a growth in demand for gem and jewellery, which has led the Pakistan Gems and Jewelry Development Company (PGJDC) to encourage talent in the sector. It is for the second time organising a two-week training workshop in diamond grading. The trainer is Mansoor Usman, a certified gemologist and graduate of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). %% PGJDC’s CEO Fawwad Khan mentioned that this initiative will be expanded across the country, to update the talent in the industry with new trends and technologies in diamond cutting, grading, appraisement and value assessment. These steps would ensure building the country’s talent to meet international challenges.
