Reports say that DTC Sightholder Salant Group (SG) has formed a new company - Masingita Ltd., as the marketing and distribution arm for its polished diamonds from southern Africa. Salant was the first company to set up a polishing facility in the region. %% The group has a market reach spreading across retailers in the U.S., Far East and Europe. Its product range includes – 0.20 to 20 carat stones - certified, loose and upto IF in clarity. %% Through Masingita, the company is looking at expanding its association with the Southern African region, and strengthening its presence in the evolving global diamond and diamond jewellery industry. It wants to rope in the opportunity of pioneering the marketing goods as southern African. The name Masingita – an African word, means ‘miracles’.
