According to Globe and Mail, reports, online trading of gold and silver is catching the attention of intelligence agencies and legal authorities. This has come into light as a Canadian financial intelligence agency identified that some websites have become the home ground for illegal transactions being carried out through the exchange of gold and silver instead of paper money. %% So far the trading in digital precious metals can easily bypass the financial reporting rules of countries like US, UK and Canada, which can lead to increasing are not strictly followed in the case of terrorist activities. According to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), this freedom has led to a bourgeoing number of transactions. This may lead to the building up of an illegal market set up. %% Although the global financial institutions and non-financial businesses discourage the act of money laundering and such terrorism financing, the illegal parties would always be on the look out for easier and unmonitored ways to undertake illegal activities. It almost seems a challenge of who would be the first amongst the two.
