'Qasma' the promise Collection Unveiled to enlighten your wedding by RK Jewellers

R K Jewellers celebrates the occasions of tying up of knots, this wedding season as 'Qasma'.

The seventh edition of the {{Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS)}} opened on 19 December, 2009 at the Rajmahal Palace, Jaipur. The Show was ceremonially inaugurated by {{Varda Shine-}} |*Managing Director of Diamond Trading Company (DTC)*|. Other welcoming speakers who preceded her were {{Vasant Mehta}} |*GJEPC Chairman*|, {{Vimal Chand Surana}} |*JJS Convener*| and {{Rajiv Jain.}} |*Co-Convener *|.$$ JJS which started in 2003 with 67 booths has now grown to 375 booths. It has progressed to become Northern India’s biggest jewellery show attracting over 27000 visitors this year! The Show was open for traders as well as consumers and exhibitors who benefitted from the Show’s dual setting as they could sell over the counter and create buzz about their products at the same time. |*Kundan-Meena jewellery *|was in demand particularly; high gold prices could not dampen the overall sales. %% A significant representation from the {{Gem & Jewellery Federation of India (GJF) }}was inspiring. Exhibitors and delegations from countries like Sri Lanka, USA, Hongkong and Israel also visited the Show that spanned four very busy days full of activities and events. Holding of gems and jewellery seminars by GIA and GJF, a house full networking dinner and JJS Gold Souk Awards were some of the highlight events amongst many others. A rare photo gallery on {{Rajmata Gayatri Devi}} of Jaipur from the collection of jeweller {{Sudhir Kasliwal}} claimed spontaneous admiration throughout the Show. The theme-launch of 2010 show which is Kundan-Meena also encouraged many positive sentiments from the trade.

JJS Gold Souk Night awarded various companies and individuals from Jaipur and other cities for their commendable contribution to the trade. {{PC Totuka & Sons, Gem Palace, Vaibhav Gems, Derewala Jewellery}} and {{Dwarkas}} made to the list of awardees from Jaipur while {{Dilipkumar V. Lakhi, Diamrusa, Meena Jewellers, Anoopchand Trilokchand, Notandas & Co., Meenawala Jewellers, CKC}} and {{PC Jewellers}} plus many more were appreciated for their contribution to the trade nationally. %% Varda Shine while addressing the gathering at the inaugural ceremony spoke about the opportunities that lie ahead for the Diamond Trade in 2010, “We are hopefully entering a period of extreme economic turbulence and I would suggest we will be well served by looking for sustainable growth opportunities as we head into 2010.” She also thought of Jaipur to be fit for diamond cutting and polishing, “ I believe that the gems and jewellery companies in Jaipur now have a fantastic opportunity to look into expanding their horizons and perhaps consider manufacturing of other fancy shapes, drawing on high levels of existing skills in lapidary”, she pointed out. She further laid stress on importance of compliance and transparency in future the trade. %% {{JJS Show Guide}} published by the |*‘Diamond World’*| was also presented at the inaugural. DW has been compiling a comprehensive database of exhibitors since the inception of JJS and this guide helps visitors, traders and exhibitors during and after the show as well. $$ In totality, JJS was appreciated as a good show and exhibitors seemed to be happy with the arrangements, turnout and business that they received during the event. The show would be held from 24 to 27 December next year and most of 2009 exhibitors have shown their eagerness to participate again.
{{Participants’ Comments :}}%% In past 7 years, the JJS has grown a lot. It is growing both ways as a Business and a Consumer Show as well; we received many business enquiries this year. We are hopeful that |*Kundan-Meena*| theme would enhance demand for |*Jadau*| and heavy jewellery next year. We don't have counter sales in the show, our purpose is to display the entire range to attract customers to our showroom for which JJS is a good advertising platform. $$ {{- Kailash Mosun, JKJ & Sons Jewellers}} %% There were many counter sales as well as business enquiries. The representatives of GJF have also shown interest which will further enhance business. Jewellery in a range of 20,000 to 600,000 could be sold off the counter here. We are impressed with the facilities; however it would be great if the show organizers can keep separate hours for counter sales and trade enquiries. $$ {{- Abhishek Ghatiwala, Ghatiwala Jewellers }}%% The Show is progressing really well on the national level. Retailers from all over the country have visited it. We are dealing in all kinds of jewellery. I suggest that in order to further increase popularity and business at the show, JJS organizers should invite top of the line retailers and offer them free hotel accommodation and travel facilities. $$ {{- Piyush Kothari, Kothari Jewels }}%% The Show has been great for us. I think |*Kundan-Meena*| is in fashion and people are interested from both trade and consumer markets. I believe efforts should be directed towards educating the consumer on |*Kundan-Meena Jewellery*| further. Also, I was surprised that despite soaring gold prices people were not discouraged from buying |*Kundan Meena jewellery.*|$$ {{-Yash Agarwal, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers }}%% This is the first time we participated in JJS and I am glad we did so. I never expected people to come and buy jewellery straight from the counter at the Show but surprisingly that happened . In addition, we got a platform to showcase the variety that we manufacture ranging from plain gold to diamond and |*polki.*| We are also focusing on fine diamond jewellery. Now, I am expecting a greater surge of customers at my showroom. $$ {{– Gautam Soni, MB Sons }}%% Jaipur is a big jewellery centre ; by participating in this Show we can target the North part of India.
