The Antwerp Diamond Bourse - de Beurs voor Diamanthandel is inviting a selective group of jewellers and diamond buyers to the first-ever Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair. The event is a by-invitation fair with over 40 leading diamond companies from Antwerp showcasing diamonds. The event is slated to be held between February 7-9, 2010, on the bourse's historical trading floor. %% The event has received confirmed participation from over 120 companies across Europe, as mentioned by Bourse president Artur Beller. "The invited buyers and guests will see the Antwerp diamond trade in its full glory during the three days of the fair," he noted. "Never before has Antwerp's diamond business community offered such a large, outstanding and varied selection of polished diamonds for sale at a single location. This will be an extraordinary and literally unique occasion." %% The event will include segments like a chic gala dinner honored by the presence of Mr. Kris Peeters, the Minister-President of Flanders and of Ms. Cathy Berx, governor of the province of Antwerp; reception in honor of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair's guests in honour of Antwerp's mayor Patrick Janssen and his bench of aldermen. The Antwerp Diamond Bourse indicated it will announce a contribution to the Belgian relief fund for Haiti. "We're eagerly looking forward to this exciting event," Beller stated. "Antwerp is the hub of the international diamond trade and for more than 100 years has been the beating heart of the world's diamond industry. Antwerp loves diamonds, and we love the people who have made diamonds and diamond jewellery their passion and their lives' work. We're honored to welcome our guests to this first edition of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair and hope they will find ample reasons to return time and again for their diamond needs and to enjoy our city," Beller concluded.
