IIJS Signature Goa, currently in its third year of showcasing, has kicked off on February 19 2010, presenting around 50 exhibiting Indian companies. The event is being organised by the Gem and Jewellery Promotion Council (GJEPC), who launched the platform three years ago for promoting Indian crafted jewellery in the overseas market. Mr. Vasant Mehta, Chairman of the GJEPC stated that the event expects to host around 650 buyers including 250 foreign buyers. %% Exhibitor reaction towards the event so far has been a mix of good and otherwise, with few diamond jewellery companies pleased about receiving business with their regular clients placing new orders and from some new buyers. Some exhibitors felt the show scale has gone down, as they witnessed less overseas delegations in comparison to the first year of this show. %% This year, IIJS Signature Goa offers buyers with a wide range of jewellery - kundan jewellery, meena jewellery, fine diamond studded jewellery. Loose diamond exhibits include from carat up to semi precious stones.
