Rajesh Exports is planning to expand its portfolio of jewellery manufacturing and exports to now include infrastructure development. The company plans investing Rs 36,000 crore over five years in developing a 2,000-acre integrated township and “affordable” housing project in Bangalore, Karnataka, offering 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments of sizes between 600-1,800 sq feet and value between Rs 8-35 lakhs. %% For its housing project, the company is in talks with realtors in the city. The township is also planned with an IT park, business centre, hospitals, schools and offices. %% The company is also planning to develop a 100-acre jewellery park with an investment of Rs 500 crore. The jewellery park is expected to house 80-100 gold and diamond jewellery manufacturing units. It is likely to come up in 24 months close to the Bangalore International Airport.
