TRUE North Gems Inc., a Canadian exploration company, reported the completion of the carving of the 440-carat rough ruby found in Greenland in 2005, which it believes, is the largest recorded ruby in the northwestern hemisphere.%%True North commissioned master gemstone carver Thomas McPhee, took over 10 months to shape the stone. The final piece weighs 302 carats and has been valued at $450,000.
