{{GJEPC}}, the apex body of Gem & Jewellery trade, set up by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, hosted an exclusive evening for Ambassadors and diplomats involving prominent Indian retailers showcasing their exquisite range of jewellery over cocktail & dinner in Delhi. GJEPC also announced its association with Incredible India Campaign of Ministry of Tourism, in the august presence of {{Subodh Kant Sahai}}, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, and Government of India.%% Commenting on the association between the Incredible India campaign and the ministry of tourism Subodh Kant Sahai , Minister of Tourism, said on this occasion “ India is growing in its stature as a global destination for Gems and Jewellery and it was only a natural progression of that growing stature that we formalise the association between tourism which spans the globe and through this symbiotic association take the GJEPC and its partner members to countries and frontiers yet to be explored . Jewellery symbolises our rich heritage and it's an attempt to urge the foreign nationals to take back a piece of this rich heritage in the form of jewellery".%% Talking on this association,{{ Rajiv Jain}}, Chairman, GJEPC said, “We are in midst of witnessing growth of India as a centre for Gems and Jewellery and establishing it as an international destination and the ministry of tourism encompasses a range of countries that may hitherto not have been approached by the Gem and Jewellery Industry making it an opportune association which will go a long way in expanding the reach of markets that the Gem and Jewellery Industry reaches out to”.%% GJEPC also hosted an ‘India Evening’ for the ambassadors and other diplomats. The evening saw an exclusive fashion show by select jewellery retailers to showcase their range of jewellery to the ambassador’s present at the show. It was an opportunity for the jewellers to present their range in front of a truly global audience which went a long way in promoting Indian design capabilities to an audience spanning continents. Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, Jewels emporium, Farah Khan, Varuna D.Jani, Dipti Amisha and associate partner Ganjam showcased their collection at the event. %% The guest list included Ambassadors of China, Switzerland , Austria and leading diplomats from Zimbabwe, Japan, Iraq, UK, USA, Brazil, Botswana , Chile and many others . The Evening witnessed over 200 guests including senior Ministry Officials.%%
