ACCORDING to reports, Bahrain government agency has put the Jewellery Arabia trade show on hold due to the event organiser’s breach of contract. The show organiser Arabian Exhibition Management (AEM) has defaulted in its payments to the government since 2000, which amount to $280,000 (BD108,000), according to a statement issued by the Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Authority (BCEA), a government agency operating under the ministry of industry and commerce.%%Jewellery Arabia is scheduled to be held from November 7 to 11 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.%%Meanwhile, AEM chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa called the BCEA’s actions “irresponsible and inaccurate”. In response, the BCEA said the responsibility for any cancellation or delay lay entirely with AEM.
