Vasundhara Raje Scindia inaugurates Jaipur Jewellery Show

The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) recently installed Haresh Soni as the new Chairman of the association for the term April 1, 2013 to March 21, 2015. He took over from Bachhrajji Bamalwa with effect from April 1, 2013. The occasion also saw the farewell ceremony of Bachhrajji Bamalwa, the outgoing Chairman of GJF.%% Bachhrajji Bamalwa expressed his appreciation to the board and members for their unstinted support and the cooperation, and wished Haresh Soni for a bright and successful tenure. “After 2 years of my tenure as Chairman, I thank the association for giving me this opportunity to serve the fraternity. I also extend my gratitude to all my board members for supporting me in my tenure. Last 2 years were awful for the entire industry, fighting against the government, but we as a team successfully passed the difficult phase.” Haresh Soni said, “As a leader, Bachhrajji’s vision, courage and commitment has brought success for the association in innumerable ways. I would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his inspired and commendable efforts towards lending stability and platform for progress and prosperity.”%% Bachhrajji Bamalwa, declared Haresh Soni as the new Chairman of GJF by making him wear a diamond studded broche, which he had designed for himself. By doing so, he instilled a tradition to pass the broche to the up-coming future Chairman’s at the installation ceremony. Haresh Soni was then felicitated with a garland by the members of the association followed by celebrating his birthday.%% At this occasion, Bachhrajji Bamalwa said, “I would like to wish the incoming Chairman, Haresh Soni all the very best. He has always been very supportive and hardworking towards the association.” Haresh Soni expressed, “I am deeply honoured to take on as the Chairman of GJF for the new tenure. As a Chairman of GJF, now I can fulfill my dream of serving and to reach all possible jewellers across India, for the betterment of the industry. My aim is to increase the potential of GJF and grow the business in leaps & bounds. I will work to strengthen the policies and charter of the association. I would also like to introduce my dream project – ‘Jewel of India’, which will showcase the talents of Indian jewellers to the world.” Lastly, the new board members along with Haresh Soni took the oath for commencing the business for the new tenure.%%
