Diamond giants seek further expansion in Chinese market

Some of the worlds largest diamond manufacturers have embarked on a second wave of development in China to benefit from Asias growing consumer markets, writes Business Day.

Bunda Jewelry Appraisers & Auctioneers will hold a "Diamond & Estate Jewelry Auction" on Nov. 20 at the Belvedere Hotel in New York.

Consignments for the sale will be accepted until Thursday, Oct. 20. There will be a two-day public viewing at the hotel, located at 319 W. 48th St., on Nov. 19 and 20. Private viewings are available by appointment.

Among the diamond jewelry on the block: a diamond three-panel bracelet with three panel sections set with approximately 324 circular, 18 marquise, and 18 tapering baguette-cut diamonds totaling approximately 28 carats, centered with 3 marquise-cut diamonds totaling approximately 3 carats with overall H color, VS clarity, estimated $16,000 to $20,000; a 3.01-carat diamond ring, I color, VS1 clarity in a gold mount, estimated $16,000 to $20,000; and a pair of diamond ear clips, prong-set with 36 pear- shaped and six oval-cut diamonds totaling approximately 14 carats, estimated at $7,500 to $10,000.
