PNG Jewellers distributes basic amenities to Shilim Village as a part of their CSR activity

PNG Jewellers collaborated with Adiwasi Vikas Prabodhini to adopt Shilim village earlier this year in January as a part of its CSR outreach program.

Saurabh Gadgil – CMD PNG Jewellers along with Parag Gadgil – Executive Director PNG Jewellers visited Shilim village located in Maval block, Pune on 18th July, 2016 as a part of PNG Jewellers CSR activity. They distributed basic amenities like Water purifiers & Writing desks across various schools in the village. PNG Jewellers, the most reputed Jewellery brand in Maharashtra collaborated with Adiwasi Vikas Prabodhini to adopt Shilim village earlier this year on 19th January as a part of its CSR outreach program.

They have set up various e-learning centers, reconstructed toilet blocks and also contributed in school’s beautification process, during this visit. Along with Saurabh and Parag Gadgil, the team also included Ashutosh Joshi- GM – PNG Jewellers and Mahesh Thakur from Adiwasi Vikas Prabodhini who had a lengthy discussion on further development plans and activities planned for the year. Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director of PNG Jewellers stated with enthusiasm, “PNG Jewellers believes in striving from their roots and they have always had a special connection with Maharashtra. This development project would strengthen the connection as well bring about a positive change. We are focusing on a 360° development plan that comprises water, education, women empowerment, vocational training, health, employment and business. The E-Learning center is expected to bring a positive change to the Village since the resident will have a better exposure to the wider world.”
