The day was full of events for the jewellery industry in Jaipur. At one end JJS briefed the press about the show that starts on December 22 while on the other the Jaipur Jewellers Association unveiled the poster of Jewellers Association Show (JAS) 2007. The poster was released by GJEPC Chairman Sanjay Kothari, also present were the Association President Vivek Kala. The occasion was the release of KPMG report’ the global gems and jewellery industry- vision 2015 transforming for growth’ in association with GJEPC.
JAS 2007 is planned to take place at Birla Auditorium from August 17 to August 20, 2007 with an expected number of 160-175 exhibitors. In an exclusive interview with Diamond world, Sanjay Kothari said, “I am amazed to see the discipline in the jewellery factories at Sitapura in Jaipur. They are wonderfully maintained and very nicely done,” he also mentioned that color stones and silver jewellery industry have immense potential to grow. “ Heat treatment is the most important thing for the growth of color stone industry. We are already working to get the technology to Jaipur as soon as possible,” Kothari informed in his speech.
