International Diamond Laboratories is launching its international operations at the India International Jewellery Show 2007. IDL which has its head office in Dubai with branches in India and Antwerp is supported by Dubai Multi Commodities centre.

According to Peter Meeus, CEO-IDL, "IDL will bring diamond grading to its next stage. The lab would transform diamond grading from an art to a science."

IDL claims to be using one of the most superior technologies in the diamond laboratory business. Also, it is the only lab in the world doing automatic colored diamond grading.

IDL views tremendous opportunities in Indian subcontinent, " India has the fastest growing retail industry, largest diamond manufacturing base coupled with third largest diamond consumer base. In addition, people here are open to technology and innovation, which implies that India has tremendous potential for our industry, " said Peter Meeus while addressing the press at a press conference held at the Taj, Mumbai on August 29, 2007.
