Princess Jewellery, the recently launched jewellery brand crafted with the new age metal Lumineux Uno has reported strong sales amounting to Rs. 1.3 crore within 3 months of its launch and during its first festive season. The sales and number of units during the 15-day period of Diwali are testament to the consumer’s acceptance of this new metal that is an amalgamation of gold, palladium, platinum and silver. Encouraged by the launch phase response, the brand is planning an investment of over 50crores and an accelerated expansion with the aim of being available at over 500 outlets by the end of the current fiscal.

Buoyed by this success during its maiden festive season, Manav Sarin, Senior Vice President-Business Development of Princess Jewellery said, “Our initial foray into the market has had an impact well beyond our expectations and we are now poised for a major expansion over the next few months. We are targeting a network of over 100 distributors, over 50 franchisees and more than 500 retail outlets by March 2017.”

Lumineux Uno offers two different collections under its ‘Princess Jewellery’ brand with emphasis on diamond studded jewellery and another in only the metal, in both traditional as well as contemporary designs.

Currently, the brand is distributed in most parts of the country and has a presence both in local jewellery stores as well as through Shop-In-Shops at branded lifestyle chains such as Shoppers’ Stop. Part of the expansion plan includes presence on ecommerce platforms such as www.jewelsouk.com; which is rated as the world’s largest online jewellery marketplace.

Reports from distributors indicate that the affordable and highly lustrous jewellery line is growing in popularity across the country and is being well received by consumers from different regions.

Arun Ambawat of SIL Jewels, Mumbai said, “There is great excitement among consumers about this new product with high lustre yet a very affordable and stable price. The response during the season clearly exceeded our expectations.”

Concurs Deepak Patel of Evershine Jewel House, Kolkata “Princess Jewellery designs are very popular because they have the finesse and flair of fine jewellery but yet fall within the budgets of a vast section of buyers.”

Speaking about North India, Sainyam Chandok of Chandok Jewellers, Amritsar said, “Today’s consumer wants things that are new and different and Princess Jewellery was just perfect from that point of view. It did very well among those looking for elegant, yet inexpensive gifts.”

Kaushik Mukherjee, CEO of Jewelsouk said, “Princess Jewellery has been very popular with the online consumers since the day of its launch. Our typical consumer likes things that are new and different, making this jewellery line a hit for its interesting metal and trendy.”

Lumineux Uno is an innovation that promises to provide an alternative precious metal with a higher lustre; sharper and more malleable; at far more affordable price than gold and platinum and more precious than silver. It has a lustrous white colour, almost like the colour of Platinum and also available in plated yellow and rose gold. Its luster and resilience renders well for intricate jewellery designing and manufacturing and the excitement from the retail for advance orders of Princess Jewellery crafted with Lumineux Uno has been highly encouraging.

The starting price point of Princess Jewellery is Rs. 5000 onwards.
