JAS-19 to attract 3000 buyers; Day 1 will only witness select buyers

In its press meet that was held today in Jaipur, the committee members said that the show with its ‘Real is Rare’ theme is introducing an exclusive day only for the trade as well as a separate pavilion for emeralds

President Sanjay Kala and Secretary DP Khandelwal said that the first day of the show (6th April) will be attended by only by trade visitors. This initiative has been taken for the first time in the history of the show. The traders from across the nation are being contacted in this endeavour. Also, arrangements are being made for their stay in a five-star hotel of the city. Around 1000 traders from outside Jaipur are expected to mark their presence in the show, which shall bring in big business opportunities for local traders of the city.

Hence the first day of the show will be focusing on b2b meetings. Buyers and sellers from China, Hong Kong, USA, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Dubai etc will be participating from other nations while traders from Ahmedabad, Baroda, Junagadh, Surat, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolhapur, Chandigarh, Indore, Ratlam, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kanpur, Hyderabad and other state delegates including artisans, designers and agents shall represent in the trade show. Over 3000 trade visitors from outside Jaipur have already registered with the show via online and offline platforms.

Also with around 4000 traders from Jaipur participating in the event, expectations are soaring high for big businesses being generated through the show.

Special arrangements have been made for emerald buyers in the show by creating a separate pavilion for emerald comprising around 50 booths. The specialty of this section is that emerald fans shall get diverse variety of the Zambian, Russian, Columbian, Ethiopian, Afghanistan and 'Panchser' stones in different phases right from its rough form to the finished stone.

Around 30,000 visitors and 450 designers from different parts of the world shall mark their presence in JAS-19. Over 250 booths shall showcase a high class exquisitely carved wedding jewellery portraying traditional Kundan, Meena and Polki designs and shall also showcase diamond, stone studded gold and silver jewellery along with designer, light weight and temple jewellery. Around 100 booths shall display over 400 varieties of precious and semiprecious stones, cabs and rough stones, around 50 stalls will exhibit emeralds and its raw form and the remaining booths shall showcase tools, machinery and publication related to manufacturing of jewellery and coloured gemstones.

JAS 19 will take place between the 6th and 9th of April.
