IJ Design Awards Grand Jury Meet to be held in Mumbai

115 stunning designs have been shortlisted amongst 21 categories

JJS-IJ Jewellers Choice Design Awards, now in its 9th year, celebrates design talent from across India. Over the years, it has been an honour to have jury members of high repute from fields of design, gems and jewellery, architecture, art, etc. Now that we have reached the final stage of this event, it’s time that we introduce our esteemed jury for this year. This year too, we have eminent names, who will be judging the jewellery pieces. The grand jury meet is slated to take place on 23rd November 2019 at Sofitel, Mumbai.

The jury panel consists of experts from gems and jewellery, architecture, design, textile and beyond, ensuring that each piece of jewellery is viewed holistically. The jury panel includes Nirupa Bhatt, MD, GIA India & Middle East, Rajiv Jain, CMD, Sambhav Gems and Secretary – Jaipur Jewellery Show, Dr.Usha Balakrishnan, Cultural Capital Consultant and Jewellery Historian, Shaheen Abbas, Founder – Shaheen Abbas Fine Jewellery, Latika Khanna, Founder & Creative Director Latique, Ahalya, CEO, Kanakavalli, Siddharth Sirohi, Co-Founder & Designer – BARO and actress Tanishaa Mukerji who is known for her role in the film Sarkar.

This year, we have received over 400 entries from all over India. Around 100 companies have participated in 21 broad categories. Winners will be awarded in a glittering gala ceremony on 20th December 2019 in Jaipur.

The 9th edition of the JJS-IJ Jewellers choice Awards is an ode to the collective design ethos of this land of veritable art forms and a platform for the ‘best of the best’ to showcase their design potential, a chance for them to let the world know their creative process, from a spark to the finished piece. Industry peers will examine and judge the designs based on their own expertise in this field.
