The Antwerp Facets News Service (AFNS) reports state that Angola has produced 9.7 million carats of rough diamonds in 2007, as was said by an official of Endiama mining company at the 13th International Mining Investment Conference (INDABA 2008) in Cape Town, South Africa.%%Angola’s organised mining produced 8.6 million carats of the total, while the remaining 1.1 million carats were produced by "artisanal" diggers.
