Vietnam will be hosting its first ever international jewellery trade show in spring of 2008. The show has been named International Jewelry Vietnam (IJV 2008). It will be held for two days from May 2 to May 4 at Ho Chi Minh City.%%The purpose of the show is to present Vietnam as a new and growing market for international jewellers: “There is no other place in the world that has such vast, untapped potential in luxury goods and towards the elimination of import duties on all products to achieve the eventual objective of an ASEAN free trade area by the year 2010.” Altogether 180 exhibition booths have been lined up, out of which 48% have been reserved by 52 participants from 14 countries. Participants will include retailers, private collectors and buyers.
