Shortly the Indian gem amd jewellery industry would have one more Special Economic Zone.%%The Minerals and Metals Trading Corp. (MMTC) which is one of the largest importer of gold plans to establish a gem and jewellery special economic zone (SEZ) in partnership with a private company. %%The technical and economic viability of the plan is yet to be ascertained. As per the commerce ministry guidelines, a gem and jewellery SEZ would require a minimum of 10 hectare of land.
