Lifestyle TV channel TLC to launch the new series on July 11th

The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWD) said that it is adding a new element, a symposium, to this year’s edition of its ‘Diamond Divas’ exhibition. The symposium will be a platform to discuss the association of diamond jewellery and celebrities from a marketing perspective. The ‘Diamond Divas’ is a symbolic reference to the celebrities of stage and screen and to the jewellery showcased at this yearly event hosted by AWDC. The exhibition displays the diamond jewellery worn by celebrities. %% The symposium is being held for members of the jewellery and diamond trade. The HRD Antwerp is sponsoring the symposium, which will allow a free attendance to it. The introduction will be delivered by Freddy J. Hanard, CEO Antwerp World Diamond Centre. Subjects to be discussed at the symposium include a talk on ‘Diamonds - symbol of power, wealth and emotions’ by Vinciane van Grotenhuis van Onstein, Author of the Diamond Divas book, ‘Cartier: its own role on the big screen’ by Pierre Rainero, Cartier Heritage Director, ‘Trends forecasting 2009 and the red carpet’ by Paola De Luca, editorial director and co-founder of TJF, ‘HRD Antwerp diamond certificates: a blueprint for quality’ by Katrien De Corte, Head of HRD Antwerp – Education, ‘Important jewellery sold at auction’ by Bernadette de Bruijn, Associate Director Christies. %% The Diamond Divas exhibition takes place in the Diamond Museum, Province of Antwerp from April 11 to June 8.
