As the calendar approaches to an end, some companies like the West African Diamonds (WAD) are indicating initial plans for the next year. The company is believed to begin diamond production from its Bomboko alluvial mine in Guinea, by the first half of 2009, with early production to be of about 900 carats of “good quality diamonds” every month. The company is hopeful to double its production in 2009. %% WAD was enlisted on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in January 2007 and diverted from African Diamonds to add focus to the diamond exploration projections in Sierra Leone and Guinea, according to Rapaport news.
