Suashish Diamonds has released its financial results for the second fiscal quarter ending December 31, 2008, in which it reported a 59 percent decline in its net sales from operations, which amounted to $29.6 million. The company witnessed a net loss worth $6.26 million in the said term, from enjoying a profit worth $5.98 million in the corresponding three months last year. %% The company’s efforts to reduce expenses by a whopping 48 percent could not avoid the losses. The expenses for the said three months valued at $36.24 million. %% In the nine months of the year 2008, the company experienced a 10.5 percent fall in its sales which amounted to $137.04 million and its net loss in the said months was $8.38 million. In the corresponding nine months of last year, Suashish enjoyed a profit worth $14.98 million.
