The IIGJ Mumbai recently welcomed Mr. Khalid Bin Jamal-Director accompanied by Mr. Sanka Roy- Officer from Ministry of Commerce & Industry- Govt of India, on 26 March 2009. Both dignitaries made their presence at the behest of the GJEPC. The occasion reflected the synergy of the government and trade bodies, which is required to support and encourage the future of the gem and jewellery industry. %% While being witness to the institute’s contribution to the industry, and through the different presentations on the state-of-the-art training facilities at the institute, Mr.Khalid Bin Jamal-Director commented “Very Informative. The Institute is playing a crucial role in creating skilled manpower to further the Gems / Jewellery sector.” The Institute is headed by Col. (Retd) S.K.Arora.
