The chief executive officer (CEO) of Dimexon Diamond Ltd., - Rajiv Mehta, who attended GIA India’s recent Graduate Diamond Diploma programme, as Chief Guest, shared his knowledge in guiding the students about skills and techniques involved in starting a diamond jewellery business. While presenting the students with their diplomas, he said, “It has been a great experience to represent Dimexon at the GIA India graduation ceremony today. Once again, GIA reaffirms its leadership position in the diamond jewellery industry through its grading and education programs. This effort of creating the world's best platform for learning gemology will go a long way in attracting and preparing the future generation for the diamond jewellery industry.” %% According to Nirupa Bhatt, managing director for GIA India and Middle East, “The GIA programmes on diamonds and coloured stones are internationally applauded. We offer both programmes to students aspiring to make a career in gems and jewellery industry,” she said. %% Further explaining the efforts that GIA is taking to ensure delivering an effective educational platform to the aspiring students, Bhatt mentioned that GIA has introduced a morning Graduate Diamonds batch on part-time basis at its Mumbai campus, which would cater to working professionals pursue GIA studies in the morning and continue to pursue professional interests during the day. A home study programme has also been introduced for Graduate Diamonds, where a student can complete the course in six months and have the benefit of a one-week Laboratory programme on campus.”
