Piaget has introduced a unique technique in its latest Altiplano Fingerprint watch collection, where the watch dial is an impression of the wearer’s own fingerprints. The buyers of an Altiplano Fingerprint watch send an impression of their fingerprint, which is set in the dial with gold and diamonds. %% The dial is set with a hand-wound mechanical movement, encased in one of the slimmest casings to be made anywhere. So far, the company has designed watch dials with fingerprints of Monaco’s Prince Albert II and the pop-star Ludacris, reports say. %% The watch is created in the company’s Geneva workshop. Every timepiece in the Altiplano Fingerprint watch collection resembles a customised version of watch making.
