The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), organisers of IIJS Signature, are introducing a separate exhibition section for only loose diamonds and coloured gemstones at the IIJS Signature 2010, in addition to the jewellery section. There would be a separate entry and branding to the loose diamond and colourstone section, as decided by the GJEPC’s Exhibition Committee. Also, none of the jewellery exhibitors would be allowed to display loose diamonds at their stalls. %% The decision for a separate exhibition area was taken following the IDCS 2009 diamond and colourstone Buyer/Seller meeting that took place in Mumbai in August 2009. The GJEPC feels that such a move would drop a spotlight on the country’s manufacturing segment of loose diamonds and colourstones. %% The GJEPC is taking all efforts to promote the IIJS- Signature 2010 on a mega scale, through print advertisements in leading national and global magazines, internet promotions, road shows and direct mailer campaigns. It also intends stimulating enquiries in new regions with strong business potential, like China, Middle East, Russia/CIS Countries, East Europe. It is also inviting India’s top 1500 retailers recommended by the exhibitors, to the event. The IIJS-Signature 2010 is slated to be held in Goa between 19-22 February 2010.
