With an objective to benefit Customers, Small Traders and to recognize the hard work of Craftsmen in this festival season, Jewellers Association - Ahmedabad is launching ‘Swarna Utsav’- The grand Shopping Festival. The event is slated from 1- 23 October, 2014, in time for the festivals of Dusshera & Diwali. This event is supported by the government as well. Shri Shantibhai Patel (President, Jewellers Association, Ahmedabad), Dr Shree Chetarjee (Index B), Shree Zaveribhai Zaveri (Regional Chairman of GIF, Gujarat), Mr Arvind bhai (A B Jewellers) & the Jewelers Association committee members were present for the grand festival launch.%% The jewellery association of Ahmedabad has organized the “Swarna Utsav – The Grand Shopping Festival” in Ahmedabad, an opportunity for jewellery enthusiasts to make a choice from a wide variety under one roof. More than 50 members including leading family jewelers such as Zaveri & Co., A.B Jewelers, Anjali Jewelers, Suvarnakal Jewelers & others from regions of all parts of our city like Satellite, C.G Road, Manekchowk, Sabarmati have confirmed their participation in this festive season. %% One of the key motives behind organizing this festival is also to recover the losses being incurred by the jewelers in the past 6 months due to lack of business and also to introduce new promotional schemes. In the year 2004, a similar festival was organized which had seen great response from the customers. Due to this, more than 50 jewelers have come together this time to present the same festive scheme hoping to attract the target audience. %% Mr. Shantibhai Patel, President, Jewellers Association, Ahmedabad shares, “ We are happy to launch this festival for Ahmedabad’s customer. Our Association is concerned due to the present market scenario but we are still looking forward towards the customer’s demands with new hope., We intend to give our customers certain rate of discounts & Special gifts on the shopping of a specific amount. Our festive scheme is a small step to ensure a bright future for the Industry and for Gold lovers across the world.” %% In the International markets, the rates of gold are very uncertain now and customers are waiting for the gold rates to come down in India. As per market sources, there are no chances of gold rates to come down in near future. Due to the increase in import duty by 10% as compared to the previous years, gold rate is higher in India as compared to International rates which have even pulled the interest levels of investors. For these reason, this festival is being organized for the small Jewelers along with the Jewelers Association Ahmedabad so that customers and Investors again start showing interest towards Gold Market and prevent the markets from crumbling down.
