The aim of the conclave was totrigger a shift from an unorganized sector to an organized gems & jewellery industy. Various GJSCI projects are inclined towards the skilling and upliftment of the unskilled labourforce of jewllery industry.

However, as a body, from time to time we have also created various programs for the lesser privileged sector of the society which includes Project Vanika, Upliftment of Hupari artisans, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to name a few and Tihar Women Inmates Skilling is another fresh initiative by GJSCI" Said Mr. Binit Bhatt, CEO, GJSCI. “This project is a major achievement for GJSCI as it not only help to source manpower for the jewellery industry, but will also give the women inmates a new approach to life and a rehabilitated way of living”, said Mr. PremKumar Kothari, Chairman, GJSCI.
