GJSCI opens new office

GJSCI has been expanding its activities and hence the need for a bigger office space had been felt since some time

Gems and Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) inaugurated its new office on September 23, 2021, with the new premises being located in the same building, that is, Business Facilitation Centre, SEZ, SEEPZ.  GJSCI has now moved to the fourth floor from the third floor.

The office was inaugurated by Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India, with Shyam Jagannathan (IAS), Zonal Development Commissioner, being the chief guest, and C. P. S. Chauhan (IRS), Joint Development Commissioner, being the special guest. 

GJSCI has been expanding its activities and hence the need for a bigger office space had been felt since some time. The newly launched Jewellery Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Excellence (JADE) COE is also part of the new office. JADE will focus on improving effectiveness of the Gems & Jewellery industry by leveraging Machine Learning and Data Science to improve the Hit-ratio and casting issues. 

The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, such as Colin Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Rajeev Pandya, President, SGJMA; Tehmasp Printer, MD, IGI; Shishir Nevatia, Sun Jewels; Sameer Shah, Director, Lotus Ornaments; and several others. Sriram Natarajan, MD, GIA, Dr Rajendra Bhola, MD, Bholasons Jewellers, and Richa Singh, DPA, participated through Zoom.
