Piyush Goyal holds meeting with GJEPC personnel

The meeting was held to discuss the gem & jewellery export targets for the year 2022-2023, and other issues pertaining to the trade

Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held a meeting with the officials of Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) to discuss the gem & jewellery export targets for the year 2022-2023, and other issues pertaining to the trade.

Also present at the meeting were B. V. R Subrahmanyam, Commerce Secretary, and Vipul Bansal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. Of India.

GJEPC presented the export targets for the sector that were firmed up at $ 45 billion for FY 2022-23. GJEPC also presented the requisite policy support required to achieve the set targets that included abolition of EL and the Presumptive Tax Regime for SNZ, and so forth.
