The 75th Cannes Festival saw Indian Bollywood star Deepika Padukone fashionably wearing a deconstructed Maharani Necklace and catwalking the Red Carpet with unmatched elegance. At the photo op session for members of the Jury, the diva appeared donning clothing and high jewellery from the ‘Tropic of Calcutta’ collection by Sabhasachi from the global resort series, where Indian heritage gets a contemporary update. Deepika looked totally mesmerizing in a printed Mysore silk shirt that had a digital rendition of hand-painted vintage flora inspired by Company paintings made by the designer’s Art Foundation with pleated wool trousers. Paired with the Lucknowi Rose, a deconstructed Maharani necklace crafted using precious multi coloured gemstones and uncut diamonds, accessorized with the Bengal trophy belt from Sabhasachi’s Accessories collection.
