Vineet Vasa of Lotus Jewellery says, “We did not participate to win an award, rather, to represent the plight of the deaf and dumb community. Our main objective was to convey the message to all the concerned to reinforce such persons who are hearing and speech impaired by birth. At Lotus, we have made a habit to hire a significant percentage of the people from the deaf and dumb community.”

He clarifies, “We provide them employment not as a way to oblige them but to engage them in work with dignity and self-respect. Though natural impairment does not affect their skill at work nor their self-confidence, we have endeavored to infuse in them with self-respect and self-esteem through our little initiatives. As a part of our divine responsibility and Divyang Sewa as guided by PM Modi, currently, we have engaged more than 20 divyaang people.”

Lotus Jewellery heartily invites their customers, well-wishers and the team at the Domestic Council to visit their establishment and encouragement the cause of audio-visually impaired class.
