The city of Surat in Gujarat was witness to dual jewellery exhibitions this week. Surat Jewellers Manufacturing Association organised ROOTZ 2022 and the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry or SGCCI recently organised their jewellery exhibition Sparkle 2022 from December 16 to 18 at the Surat Indoor Stadium in Surat city.

Sparkle was a B2B exhibition earlier and for the first time it was planned to be a B2C event. This expo that took place after a span of 4 years was inaugurated by the mayor of Surat city, Hemali Boghawala.  The event was attended by Union Minister of State for Railways and Textiles Darshana Jardosh and State BJP President C R Paatil along with his wife, Gangaben Patil. Over 30 exhibitors, including jewellery manufacturers from Surat and other parts of the state, participated in Sparkle 2022. It recorded a footfall of over 8,000 with buyers from other states as well as non-resident Gujarati’s or NRGs from the US, UK and European in attendance.

SGCCI president Himanshu Bodawala noted that due to consumer demand they had planned to chage the format of Sparkle from B2B to B2C.
