GJEPC Kolkata CFC Awareness Program Highlights Services for Bengal’s Artisans

GJEPC and SSBC collaborate for Kolkata CFC: Key industry figures promote awareness of services benefiting Bengal's artisans and karigars

GJEPC in collaboration with the Swarno Shilpo Bachao Committee (SSBC) Local Trade Association (LTA) Common Facility Centre (CFC) recently organised an awareness program to promote the services provided by Kolkata CFC. The event witnessed the presence of key industry figures, including Pankaj Parekh, Regional Chairman Eastern Region, GJEPC; Suvankar Sen, Member, Eastern Regional Committee, GJEPC; Hasmukh Parekh, Harashad Bhai Ajmera, Ketan Doshi, and Tagor Chandra Poddar.

The guests shared insights into the benefits offered by Kolkata CFC for artisans and karigars from Bengal, particularly those in Bowbazar. Shri Subir Sen, President, SSBC, and services provided at the centre, a joint initiative by GJEPC and SSBC for the welfare of karigars.

Addressing the event virtually, Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director of GJEPC, explained how the CFC would benefit karigars and artisans.

With over 70 attendees from the manufacturing sector and wholesalers, the program featured an address by Shri Tagar Chandra Poddar, President of Bangiyo Swarno Shilpi Samiti. He encouraged karigars to actively participate in the services offered by the centre.
