Rosy Blue, which is a De Beers Diamond Trading Company (DTC) sightholder, intends to diversify its business into agro based products, reports Business Standard. It plans to set up a castor seed or an isabgol (psyllium seed husks) processing plant in Gujarat, and has approached the state government for 50 acres of barren land.%%Russell Mehta, Rosy Blue’s chief operating officer said “Diamond being the core business for us, we thought of getting into a second or third leg business. Ultimately we intend to generate some more job opportunities in the region”.%%Rosy Blue also intends to set up a cutting and polishing unit near Palanpur, which will again add to job opportunities according to Mehta. This new factory is being proposed to be set up over another 50 acres by Banaskantha Industries Pvt. Ltd., a shareholder of Rosy Blue.
