ASIS International Mumbai Chapter conducted its AGM and Chapter Meet 2025 at Bharat Diamond Bourse, Mumbai, bringing security and risk professionals together for governance updates, discussions on resilience, and leadership transition.
ASIS International Mumbai Chapter held its Annual General Meeting and Chapter Meet 2025 at Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), Mumbai, with participation from nearly 130 professionals representing security, cyber, and risk management functions.
The meeting brought together industry leaders and practitioners to review chapter activities, discuss emerging security challenges, and conduct statutory governance processes. Bharat Diamond Bourse hosted the event at its Mumbai premises.
The keynote address was delivered by D. Sivanandhan, former Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, former Director General of Police, Maharashtra, and founder of the ROTI BANK initiative. His session, titled “Public-Police Partnership: A Strategic Imperative for Crisis Management & Business Continuity,” drew from insights in his recently released book and focused on collaborative approaches to crisis preparedness.
During the event, the book The Brahmastra Unleashed was formally launched by members of the security community. The publication was positioned as a contribution to professional discourse in security and risk management.
Mehul Shah of Bharat Diamond Bourse and Gemmological Institute of India felicitated Sivanandhan and welcomed delegates to BDB. He highlighted the importance of professional dialogue and collaboration during periods of global uncertainty.
A panel discussion on “Building Resilience & Business Continuity in an Unpredictable World,” moderated by Col. Sam, featured Col. Manjit Singh, Usha Suryavanshi, Rajesh Shekhawat, and Capt. Shantanu Krishna, who shared operational perspectives on managing disruptions.
The Chapter also recognised Sampat Suryavanshi for his service during the 26/11 attacks. Annual elections were conducted, appointing Rakesh Kherwa as Chapter Chair, Marsh Miranda as Secretary, and Aabid Khan as Treasurer for 2026.
