IAGES appointed GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali as Nominee Director on May 11, 2026, adding industry and institutional experience to support the association’s objectives and sector development initiatives.
International Association of Gold and Silver Exporters (IAGES) has appointed Kirit Bhansali as Nominee Director on its Board with effect from May 11, 2026. Bhansali is currently Chairman of Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and is a partner at Smital Gems, a diamond manufacturing company based in Mumbai. He is also a Committee Member of Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB). In the past, he served as Chairman of Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJ).
According to IAGES, Bhansali’s appointment brings extensive industry experience and sector knowledge to the association’s Board. The association stated that his understanding of the gem and jewellery sector and leadership experience are expected to support its mission and objectives. Apart from his business activities, Bhansali has also been associated with socio-political and educational initiatives.
In a statement, IAGES said it welcomed Bhansali to its Board of Directors and looked forward to his guidance and contribution towards the growth of the association and the wider gem and jewellery industry.
