Kalyan Jewellers returned to the Cannes Film Festival for a third appearance, unveiling a bespoke high-jewellery creation for brand ambassador Kalyani Priyadarshan inspired by Art Deco design and couture styling.
Kalyan Jewellers marked its third appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, returning to the Croisette after a brief hiatus with a bespoke high-jewellery creation designed for brand ambassador Kalyani Priyadarshan.
Created for Priyadarshan’s first red carpet appearance at the festival, the piece was designed to integrate with the couture silhouette. Inspired by Art Deco influences, the lariat-style necklace was styled along the back and extended into two cascading strands connected with the gown, creating a unified couture and jewellery presentation.
The design featured a 52-carat pear-shaped blue sapphire at its centre, accented by 15 carats of round pink morganites and 945 natural diamonds in marquise, brilliant and princess cuts. The piece was set in 14k white gold. According to the company, the jewellery was crafted over a period of 40 days by its high-jewellery atelier. The look was completed with matching rings and earrings designed to align with the overall red-carpet presentation.
The appearance marks another international showcase for the brand at the Cannes Film Festival, where jewellery houses continue to use the platform to present high-jewellery craftsmanship and design capabilities to a global audience.
