The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has intensified its engagement with Vietnam's jewellery industry as part of its international buyer promotion campaign for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026, aiming to increase participation from one of Southeast Asia's growing jewellery markets.

A GJEPC delegation held a series of meetings with leading jewellery associations, wholesalers, retailers and trade stakeholders across Vietnam to showcase business opportunities at IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. The initiative sought to strengthen trade ties between India and Vietnam while encouraging a larger contingent of Vietnamese buyers to attend the exhibition in Mumbai.

During the outreach programme, the delegation highlighted India's position as a global sourcing hub for diamonds, coloured gemstones, gold jewellery and other fine jewellery categories. Discussions focused on expanding bilateral trade opportunities, facilitating direct business connections and enabling Vietnamese buyers to engage with a broader cross-section of Indian manufacturers and exporters.

The Vietnam engagement forms part of GJEPC's wider international roadshow programme ahead of IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026. The council has been conducting similar promotional activities across key jewellery markets, including Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the UK, Saudi Arabia and GCC countries, with the objective of broadening the show's international buyer base.

IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 is scheduled to take place in Mumbai from 5–10 August across the Jio World Convention Centre and Mumbai Exhibition Centre (NESCO). The exhibition is expected to host more than 2,100 exhibitors, around 3,600 stalls and approximately 50,000 trade visitors from India and overseas. The event will feature manufacturers across diamonds, coloured gemstones, gold jewellery, studded jewellery, machinery and allied segments, providing international buyers with sourcing and networking opportunities. Through its continued international outreach, GJEPC aims to strengthen overseas buyer participation and reinforce IIJS Bharat's position as a global sourcing platform for the gem and jewellery industry.
