The Jaipur Jewellery Show Organizing Committee has unanimously elected Rajiv Jain as Chairman on July 20 in Jaipur, while naming Vimal Chand Surana Patron after his 19-year tenure.
The Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) Organizing Committee has unanimously elected Rajiv Jain as the Chairman of Jaipur Jewellery Show. The announcement was made in Jaipur on July 20, marking a leadership transition for one of India's gem and jewellery trade exhibitions. Jain succeeds Vimal Chand Surana, who served as Chairman of JJS for the past 19 years. The Organizing Committee also unanimously appointed Surana as the Patron of Jaipur Jewellery Show in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the exhibition during his tenure.
Jain has held several leadership positions within the gem and jewellery industry. He is a Past Chairman of the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. He has also served as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Rajasthan; Founder Chairman of the Museum of Gems & Jewellery, Jaipur; and Past Chairman of the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ), Jaipur.
Following the appointments, the Executive Committee of Jaipur Jewellery Show has been constituted with Dinesh Khatoria as Vice Chairman, Kamal Kothari as Secretary, Ajay Kala and Ashok Singhi as Joint Secretaries, and Dr. Nawal Agrawal as Treasurer. The Organizing Committee stated that Surana's leadership played a significant role in the development of Jaipur Jewellery Show over nearly two decades. It further noted that the Patron appointment recognizes his service and contribution to the exhibition.
The members conveyed their heartfelt congratulations to Shri Rajiv Jain on his unanimous election as Chairman and expressed their confidence that, under his leadership, Jaipur Jewellery Show will continue to achieve new milestones while further strengthening its position as one of the country's premier gem and jewellery exhibitions. The Organizing Committee also stated that it looks forward to the continued support and active cooperation of Committee Members and Sub-Committee Members in carrying forward the vision and legacy of Jaipur Jewellery Show.
