PC Chandra Jewellers is intending to expand its retail base, with 14 new showrooms in Agartala by June-end and four in Kolkata in two years. Phase-I of the expansion will see a store each in Orissa, Jarkhand and Assam. Following this, Phase-II will concentrate on launching stores in the metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai, post 2010. Delhi will be a main focus, as the company wants to tap the sizeable Bengali population in the capital. %% So far, the Group has a strong presence in eastern India, and is known as the largest jeweller in the region with 13 showrooms in West Bengal.
